Next Generation XBox Dropping In 2013?

next-gen-xbox.jpg
Note: Picture completely f***ing ridiculous.
Is the next generation XBox coming in 2013? How am I supposed to know -- do I look like a video game insider? "No, you look like shit." EXAAACTL-- wait...
Develop reports that chip manufacturers and software middleware firms expect the next Xbox to be announced at E3 2013, with a launch following in time for the holidays. This would be a similar announcement-to-launch timeline as that of the Xbox 360, which was revealed just six months before the console hit retail in November 2005.
These reports follow a recent confirmation that various Microsoft employees are already on the next console team. Several LinkedIn accounts for Microsoft employees listed them as working on the hardware, with Jeff Faulkner pinpointed as creative director on "Xbox Next Gen."

Future of Technology

Technology is expanding faster and faster and the future seems limitless for such an important sector, which has many wondering what the future holds for the industry. Currently there are technically advanced developments in the field of computer hardware, computer software and even the Internet that will change the way we work.
The way computer hardware is made and its function will soon be changing. Right now, there are a couple of new developments in this area of the future of computer technology.
Holographic Storage Technologies:
The theory of holography was developed by Dennis Gabor, a Hungarian physicist, in the year 1947. His theory was originally intended to increase the resolving power of electron microscopes. The result was the first hologram ever made. The early holograms were legible but plagued with many imperfections because Gabor did not have the correct light to make crisp clear holograms as we can today given he needed laser light.
However, it wasn't until the 1960s that two engineers from the University of Michigan: Emmett Leith and Juris Upatnieks, developed a new device which produced a three dimensional image of an object. Building on the discoveries of Gabor, they produced the diffuse light hologram. Today, we can see holograms, or 3D images, on credit cards, magazine covers and in art galleries. Yet this unique method of capturing information with lasers has many more applications in the industrial world and is on the verge of revolutionizing data storage technology as we know it.
Currently, tests are being done on creating a commercially viable holographic storage system. This technology not only offers very high storage densities, it could access that data at very high rates, due to the fact that holographic methods read an entire page of data in one operation. While conventional optical storage techniques read and write data by altering an optical medium on a per bit basis, holographic storage records an entire interference pattern in a single operation.
Protonic Memory :
One of the biggest horrors of the computer age is to be working on a document not yet saved to the hard drive and lose everything because of a power outage or a system crash that forces the operator to shut down the computer. Attempts to create circuits that store the information when the power is interrupted have used high voltages, which quickly wear down computer electronic components, and have been expensive. Some scientists have applied for a patent on a prototype memory retention device that is inexpensive, low-powered, and simple to fabricate that may be the future of protecting vital data when suddenly lost without being save. To transmit data, the device uses embedded protons, which remain where they are when the power turns off, thus preserving the information. In devices such as DRAM's (dynamic random access memory), typically based on electron flow, the information is lost when the power is turned off.
Nano Computers:
According to a group of researchers calling themselves the Nanocomputer Dream Team, November 1st, 2011 is the day they'll unveil a revolutionary kind of computer, the most powerful ever seen. Their nanocomputer will be made out of atoms. Moving individual atoms around at will sounds like fantasy, but it's already been demonstrated in the lab. In 1989, scientists at IBM used an electron microscope to shuffle 35 xenon atoms into the shape of their company's logo. Since then a team at IBM's Zurich labs has achieved the incredible feat of creating a working abacus on the atomic scale. Nanocomputers, if they ever appear, will be extraordinary things. But if, like most computer systems, they have bugs, they could also be very nasty, as well.
Next-Gen Interfaces:
Many of these next-gen interfaces will not have the user control the computer through commands, but will have the computer adapt the dialogue to the user's needs based on its inferences from observing the user. Most current user interfaces are fairly similar and belong to one of two common types: Either the traditional alphanumeric full screen terminals with a keyboard and function keys, or the more modern WIMP workstations with windows, icons, menus, and a pointing device.
An alternative model is emerging in object-oriented operating systems where the basic object of interest is the user's document. Any given document can contain sub objects of many different types, and the system will take care of activating the appropriate code to display, print, edit, or email these data types as required. The main difference is that the user no longer needs to think in terms of running applications, since the data knows how to integrate the available functionality in the system.

Wozniak’s Predictions for Technology Trends
FutureCar 300x279 Future Technology Trends
Future Technology
According to Steve Wozniak in a recent interview, the technology world is on the verge of some fairly major changes, exciting changes.
In the area of memory and chip size, Wozniak pointed to the chips used in cameras and talked about using them in other ways, inside of computers on cards. He wants to see hard drives replaced entirely with non-moving chips and cards. They offer small size, huge capacity, and lightning-fast speed, and lots of other advantages if used in the “right” way. Wozniak point out the many are using them in “wrong” ways, creating solid-state drives and memory that in his opinion are pointless.
The advantages became clearer when he spoke about “The Cloud” later in his talk. The “cloud” is not a new concept, traditionally referring to the internet in general, but it’s taken on a new meaning recently, combining the best of the internet and the best of micro-computing and putting them together into something akin to a universal “digital bank.” So instead of everyone having unlimited storage on their own personal computers, everyone would send their information – pictures, files, videos, everything – to the “cloud” for storage. Wozniak admitted that many people are leery of the security of such concept, but he’s certainly not alone in his prognostications about the cloud, and with iTunes recently moving toward online backup and storage for individual music libraries and google docs recently allowing upload of any file type, the reality of “the cloud” becoming everyone’s digital bank is closer than many think.
Wozniak also talked about the new organic LED screens that are soft and flexible. Instead of making them stiff like some companies do, Wozniak wants to take advantage of their flexibility. He envisions a globe made from the material, turned into a 3-D, touchable Google Earth. He loves the new, touch-ability of many tech products, and sees that market continuing to succeed, also, mixing 3-d advances with touch screens and interactive computing experiences.
It’s obvious that Wozniak is excited by the technology that’s coming in the weeks and months ahead, and why not? The ideas and hardware that he talks about is almost revolutionary, changing the face of computing and technology as we know it.

The Future Technology Of Printers: From 3D To Inkless Printers

Technology is improving at an alarming rate–from high-tech computers and mobile phones to smaller, more advanced entertainment systems and even ultra-fast inkjet printers. It wasn’t that long ago when we all used to print out documents using slow and noisy, black and white dot matrix printers. Now, we’re able to print twice as much documents in less time in full-color inkjet printers; and it won’t be long before we see an evolution in inkjet printers and experience all sorts of technological advancements we once thought were impossible.
There are already signs of what the future technology of printers holds–from inkless printers to those that can do 3D print outs. Here are just some of the advancements that are already in development that herald in the new age of printers.

1. Inkless printers. Various brands such as Dell and Polaroid have launched printers that don’t use normal printer ink cartridges to print on paper. The Dell Wasabi Ultramobile printer can print high-quality, borderless full-color images using Zink (Zero Ink) technology. Heat from the printer activates dye crystals that are embedded in a special kind of photo paper to create colored print outs in less than a minute.
2. 3D Printers. Why stick to a flat, two-dimensional print out when you can have your own image printed on 3D? There are a few 3D printers available now that can print out high-quality and well-defined three-dimensional models that even include real mechanical parts in them. It’s like having your own small factory at home! Although this piece of future technology is already available, a 3D printer would set you back about ,000. So, unless you plan to create 3D models and sell them as a business, it’s best to stick with your trusty 2D inkjet printers for now.
3. Wax printers. You used to color your drawings with crayons when you were a child, and Xerox has picked up on this by creating a printer that uses colored wax sticks instead of regular ink cartridges. The sticks are made of nontoxic polymer wax with colorants that act as the printer ink. Heat from the printer melts the wax stick to release the colorants for printing. The result is high-gloss, high-definition print outs. The company has been trying to refine this technology for about three years now; although there have been issues regarding the longevity of the print outs since wax tends to scratch easily.
4. Ultra-fast printers. Superman can run at the speed of sound, and although it will take about 100 more years before you see a printer that prints 100 documents that fast, there are inkjet printers in development now that can print high-quality, full-color images at a page per second continuously. With that technology around, it won’t be long before inkjet printers come close to printing at the speed of sound.
It’s amazing what the future holds for the printing industry. You’ve already seen a bit of the bright future of inkjet printers and ink cartridges and it won’t be that long before you finally see these future printers at work right in your own home.

Nomadic Plants save planet

Most of us grow up thinking that clean water is good, while polluted water is bad, but that’s only because we approach these things from a human perspective. Just as plants rely on the carbon dioxide that we breathe out, each living thing exists in a biosystem where plants and animals need each other to survive. Mexican artist Gilberto Espaza has used this thinking to create his Nomadic Plants, and in the process, he teaches us something about the world we all live in.

Curious Displays-concept future

“Curious Displays is a product proposal for a new platform for display technology. Instead of a fixed form factor screen, the display surface is instead broken up into hundreds of ½ inch display blocks. Each block operates independently as a self-contained unit, and has full mobility, allowing movement across any physical surface.
“The blocks operate independently of one another, but are aware of the position and role relative to the rest of the system. With this awareness, the blocks are able to coordinate with the other blocks to reconfigure their positioning to form larger display surfaces and forms depending on purpose and function. In this way, the blocks become a physical embodiment of digital media, and act as a vehicle for the physical manifestation of what typically exists only in the virtual space of the screen.
future-technology-devices-concept
“Traditionally, displays are fixed-size/ratio surfaces that provide an entry point to a defined experience with digital media content. This content is varied–informational, filmic, auditory, at times even spatial. However, the relationship between the user and the digital entities within the defined surface of the screen creates a sense of fragmentation between two distinct spaces. The virtual space of the screen provides a surface for media content to come alive, but is a distinct and marked separation from the physical space that the user occupies.
“Projection begins to create a kind of a hybrid space for the physical and virtual to blend. Projection can appear anywhere. It can appear on any surface at any given time, and can disappear again just as quickly, providing many space-saving benefits and new opportunities for mixed reality interaction and augmentation. However, the nature of such a transitory medium defies basic rules that are core to our understanding of the physical world.

NEW CARS TECHNOLOGIES: Hybrid Electric Cars and Car gas hydrogen

This car will be mirror of future technology  How Nice Car For Future Technology:

This car will be mirror of future technology and world. When I see this car than I amazed. This car design is very latest and strong. This car has no engines, no drivers, no limits and no steering wheel. This car is surprise of the future. This car shapes is very different.

The visibility is unpredictable, converging high fashion and high technology. The car very latest design that no engine, no steer wheel, and petroleum-free. The designers came out with really unique revolutionary ideas. It has minimum weight and perfect aerodynamics, low resistance mobility, and very efficient. After all, I like this car because it design, engine. Colors. Overall is very latest. It’s very fantastic.

 Technology Behind Hybrid Cars

The biggest query that people are asking nowadays is what type of vehicles we shall be going to drive in the future? If you are wondering, then you should be aware that this query has stimulated many human minds and their brains as the oil reserves of the world are declining to such a disturbing degree that people are asking questions about how long with the oil reserves of the world last us? These worries are not baseless since the earth has got a limited supply of fuel left and very soon the day will come when there will be no fuel left at all. How can we beat this scenario without causing discomfort to us? There is a simple solution and the answer is to go in for hybrid cars.

Technology Behind Hybrid Cars  The technology behind hybrid cars are that they are designed to run on alternative fuels like solar cells or hydrogen gas without emitting any toxic gases in the atmosphere. There are people who ask if these hybrid cars perform as well as their fuel counterparts? If one looks under the bonnet of a hybrid car, they will notice that it has two engines instead of one. One of them runs using electricity and the other uses diesel or petrol. Both these engines work in tandem and give you both better performance and higher mileage at a cheaper cost. You will never be stuck if the fuel finishes. The electric engine will ensure that you reach home.

 Hybrid Cars Negative Environmental Impact

If you take the total environmental cost of a vehicle as the point from when the car was first designed to when it is dismantled, or hopefully recycled, hybrid vehicles don’t quite match the hype they are currently getting.

A hybrid is a complicated vehicle, requiring lots of new technology and high tech components. A hybrid vehicle is harder to build because of its complexity, which means more energy is used in building the car. Some hybrids can charge their batteries from mains power, and this could be generated by ‘dirty’ technologies such as coal fired power stations or nuclear power. This is especially true for the pure electric cars on the market – it depends on how the electricity is produced as to what end effect your car is having on the environment.
